About Me

I’m Adam, I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I studied counselling at the Australian College of Applied Psychology in Melbourne where i lived for 7 years prior to returning to the UK. I hold a certificate in CBT and in addition to my qualifications I have a wealth of life experience that helps to inform my areas of specialisation that include stress, anxiety, depression and grief.

What I offer

I am a person-centred counsellor offering an empathic and non-judgemental approach to sessions in which we will work collaboratively to help you to navigate through the emotions and issues that you are experiencing. My viewpoint is that you are the expert on your own life and i will be helping you to identify familiar patterns of behaviour, recurring themes, relationship issues and how to make sense of the world around you and how you experience it.

The therapy that I offer is influenced by my studies and exposure to Gestalt Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and I offer a holistic approach that incorporates all areas of your life including diet, sleep hygiene, life style and exercise.

I have experience working with LGBTQ+ clients and consider myself to be an LGBTQ Ally.

There is a high demand for therapy and my aim is to ensure that as many people as possible are able to get access to to the therapy that they need and is most effective for them. I therefore offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation to see if we would be a good therapeutic fit.

My fees start at £50 per session, with each session lasting 50 minutes.
